Marion LaVoi, 83, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Tuesday (January 25th) at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (January 29th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Fosston at a later date. Friends may greet the family for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Marion Ruth Liegman was born April 28, 1921 to Michael J. and Frieda (Kracht) Liegman in Stutsman County, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Courtenay School in Courtenay, North Dakota and graduated in 1939.

On July 3, 1941 Marion was united in marriage to Leo LaVoi in Duluth. They lived and worked in Duluth for several years before moving to a farm southwest of Fosston, Minnesota. They farmed for 22 years until Leo died in 1968. Marion worked at the Gambles Store in Fosston for many years and then at the Fosston Hospital until she retired in 1993.

Marion passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 83 years.

Survivors include her children, Lynn and husband, Gary Reiten of Walker, MN, and Steve and his wife, Cara of Fosston; grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Lynda Sue Reiten of Brainerd, MN, Sarah Reiten and special friend, Adam Edstrom of St. Cloud, MN, Mathew and Jodi LaVoi of Bemidji, MN, and Nathan and Erica LaVoi of Moorhead, MN; five great grandchildren, Morgyn, Brenna, Samuel, Sydney and Brooke; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Frieda; her husband, Leo; sisters, Myrtle Berg and Mildred Rohsfeld; brother, Harold Liegman and infant brother, Ralph.
